Our fourth fall release is now live with two additional enhancements to further refine your topic queries. The first new filter option is used for brand names that are common English words. The second new filter focuses the search on posts with personal opinions and experiences.
Strict Brand Match Filter
Use Strict Brand Match to filter results to those that talk about your search term as a brand. This is useful for brands that are common English words like Tide, Target, Accord, Clear, etc. When enabled, the filter will exclude sentences like:
- We like to go fishing when the tide is rising.
- His views are right on target.
- It was a clear day when we left.
Personal Narrative Filter
Use the Personal Narrative filter to quickly focus on social media posts where the author is sharing personal opinions or experiences and exclude irrelevant results like promotions, news, etc.
Brand Focus Wizard
You can use the Brand Focus Wizard, introduced in our last release, to understand which Sound Bites the filter are including and excluding in your searches. The example below shows Sound Bites that are automatically excluded when filtering on Strict Brand Match.
